Over 1,000 Free Portions of Vegan Tofish & Chips Given Out This Summer

Over the past week we’ve been travelling across the British seaside with the new Surge project The Off the Hook Truck.

The Off the Hook Truck is the second Surge moving activism project, but this time with the mission of giving out as much free vegan food as possible, whilst persuading people to stop hurting marine animals and the oceans.

In total Surge have now proudly given out over 1,000 FREE portions of Unity Diner tofish & chips in order to show that we don't need to harm animals in order to have delicious food.

We’ve been so blown away by the positive feedback and productive conversations that we’ve had with members of the public and the vast majority of people said they couldn’t tell the difference between Unity Diner tofish and real fish. Everyone who took a free portion was also given information on veganism and the suffering of marine animals and the oceans, as well as information on where they could find plant-based alternatives to animal products in regular supermarkets.

Our outreach truck has attracted a huge amount of attention in the coastal towns we’ve visited and we’re determined to continue raising awareness for fish and other marine life. Every year trillions of fish are murdered for our food choices. They are the most exploited animals on earth, but their suffering is so often forgotten.

If you care about the oceans, please switch to vegan today.
